Los Angeles: West Traffic Detectives are
asking for the public’s help to locate and identify the driver of a
Chrysler Sebring who struck and killed a man who was standing on the
sidewalk.
On Monday, September 10, 2012, at 5:10 a.m., a driver
in a 2010 Chrysler Sebring travelling north on Western Avenue lost
control of the vehicle, ran off the road and struck 63-year-old Amos
Romasoc, a Los Angeles resident, who was standing on the west sidewalk
of Western Avenue just south of Romaine Street. The driver failed to
stop to render aid or identify himself as required by law.
Witnesses
observed the suspect and his passenger exit the vehicle and flee
westbound on Romaine Street. The suspects removed their shirts and ran
into an apartment building located in the 5640 block of Santa Monica
Boulevard. Approximately, 25 minutes later, the suspects left the
location and entered a blue Mazda and left in an unknown direction.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the location and pronounced Romasoc dead at scene.
The driver is described as a male White, 20-30-years-old, stands 5 feet 10 inches, and weighs about 140-150 pounds.
The passenger is described as a male Black, 20-30-years-old.
The vehicle is described as a 2010 Chrysler Sebring, California License plate No. 6LUP437.
The other vehicle is described as a blue Mazda, California License plate No. 6UGC050.

from West Traffic Division are asking anyone who may have information
